Este sistema de resistencia est\u00e1 basado en un mecanismo de resistencia isoinercial donde la energi\u0301a producida en la fase conce\u0301ntrica por el sujeto se devuelve en la fase exce\u0301ntrica. Esta tecnologi\u0301a permite conseguir un exce\u0301ntrico en cadena cine\u0301tica cerrada-abierta, multiplano y multiarticular. Concretamente se utiliza la inercia de un volante en lugar de la energi\u0301a potencial obtenida por la posicio\u0301n de un objeto externo. En la fase conce\u0301ntrica el sujeto genera energi\u0301a cine\u0301tica a trave\u0301s del giro del volante la cual sera\u0301 frenada durante la fase exce\u0301ntrica.<\/p>\n<p>Estos dispositivos entran dentro de la amplia categori\u0301a de dispositivos de entrenamiento de la fuerza en los que la fuerza de resistencia es dina\u0301mica y proporcional a la fuerza generada por el individuo. Cuando el individuo aplica una mayor fuerza a la correa de sujecio\u0301n, la aceleracio\u0301n angular es creciente, aumentando de esta forma la energi\u0301a cine\u0301tica producida. Esta metodologi\u0301a no es nueva (Hill, 1922). Pero fue a partir de la de\u0301cada de los 90, a partir de los estudios de Berg y Tesch (1) que empez\u00f3 a ser conocida.
